When we were renovating our new family home the thought of decorating it as well gave me a massive headache. Even though I did have a pretty good idea about what I wanted in terms of style and colour, I had absolutely no idea where to start and how to organise such a big project. I was also afraid that I would lose track of my original idea (to restore the house to its former glory) and instead would fall into some funky, crazy, modern Pinterest rabbit hole. Luckily, Sophie came to the rescue. She brought calm and expertise, checked the schedule of the builders and with that in mind started organising & prioritising. She seemed to understand my vision for the house perfectly, offered valuable suggestions and ideas and then we started planning. We went on a quest to find furniture, materials for curtains and sofas, looked for suitable lamps and possible colour combinations. Everywhere we went Sophie made sure to ask exactly the right questions and provided exactly the right amount of guidance, but ultimately let me make the final decision.
The final result reflects our collaboration perfectly. Our house, which is over a century old, oozes authenticity but is still modern. It kept its original features but is very comfortable. It is colourful but at the same time it feels calm and peaceful. I often stop to look around and marvel at the beauty of it all. We are all very happy here and I love sharing this space with friends and family who also love visiting. I am incredibly proud that we pulled it off and cannot thank Sophie enough for all her time, effort and help in bringing this project to such a successful conclusion: we absolutely couldn’t have done this without her.
